The Librotraficantes smuggled CHICANO!:THE HISTORY OF THE MEXICAN AMERICAN CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT during its 2012 Librotraficante Caravan to smuggle back into Arizona the books that formed part of the Mexican American Studies Curriculum outlawed by Arizona legislators. We are proud to have joined other Mexican Americans, Chicanos, and Latinos from the Southwest and from all around the country, in union with other allies, to support the students and people of Tucson as they defied and overturned this prohibition of our culture and history.
